Wireless networks today
are a necessity especially with the high demands of business
people and others that are on the move all the time. Access
to important data is a must today, and wireless networks
allows you to connect people to enterprises thus being
accessible to management, peers and customers at the same
time accessing all relevant data (Internet, Warehouses,
Customers records, Patients records etc..).
Our
experience in this field stems from Iraq. Due to the heavy
damage of the telecom infrastructure in Iraq, Lunasat
installed a complete wireless network in Baghdad in post
war Iraq, to serve the demand for broadband internet access
and telephone lines directly to the office or the house.
The
network is installed in the center of Baghdad at one of
the highest towers, serving merely everywhere of the Iraqi
capital. The network is handling today an expanding number
of clients requesting professional services.
The
network have been expanded to provide WiFi services in
Baghdad, and Wifi station are installed on towers all
over Baghdad to provide customers with WiFi access from
their homes, offices, and even from their cars. The network
enjoys a state of the art billing and management system
that supports all the prepaid internet cards required
for the proper operation of the network.
Lunasat
has installed and operated the first network, based on
its conviction for the need of such networks. Now with
the expanding expertise in this respect has pushed its
engineering team forward to provide other services on
the wireless network, and following are a few of the services

expertise in this field helped Lunasat in becoming a consultant
and an accredited network designer and operator for major
banks and financial institutions in the MENA region.

to implementation, to interconnection with major credit
cards operators such as Visa and MasterCard. POS activity
is a major part of this operation.
2. The need for banks to interconnect their ATM machines
to be on-line with their servers in the HQ. This used
the expertise of Lunasat in providing these services in
remote areas where cable and high speed data are non-existent.
3. Banks also never rely on Government networks for their
interconnectivity. Banks are in the business of serving
their clients and being on-line 24/7; they cannot afford
a minute of down time. Thus they rely on private networks
to act as a back bone for their operation. Lunasat’s
expertise in the wireless business, allowed it to sign
contracts with major to provide them with branch interconnectivity
and data transfers and security.
